yep, but a quick question how long did you leave it before comming back, things disapear after about a day or the time to walk from windspear to anlkath and back.

originally (i didnt know that the sword exists) after killing the dragon i left it for about 10 or 20 days doing other quests then i read about this i went back and there was nothing.......I guess that explains it huh.....

Janek, one of the things they put into BG2 to simulate realism is that items don't stay where they are forever. Eventually they vanish, get picked up by other people, get eaten, etc. That's probably what happened with Carsomyr.
