There's a series I want to get that has only just come out in Australia. It's about assassins, but I can't remember the name. Meh, I'll know it when I see it.

Right, for anybody who wants to know, the assassin series is called the "Night Angel Trilogy" by Brent Weeks, first book named "The Way of Shadows". Sounds pretty cool to me. Reminds me of Assassin's Creed.

Got through John Wyndham's Day of the Triffids in a few nights, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It seems to share quite a few similarities with War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells (which I enjoyed less so.)

Oi man, i do like those books, but i havent read them in forever.

I did just finish the Silmarilion. By Tolkein.

Good greif that book took a lot out of me.

Its all about the history of Middle Earth, all of the history.
Where Sauron came from, the elves, dwarves, orcs, i mean everything in the Tolkien universe.

Glutton for punishment or what!?
Yup, it's a tough read. I could not make it though. I understand that if you get past the first third, or half of it, it's not too bad.

Oh, I've been reading that one for ages too. And Lord of the Rings. It's been so long since I was reading it that I can't remember what happened, so I have to start again. Silmarillion is taking forever. I think the most difficult part is remembering all the names, and as you are constantly beseiged by them on every page, it is a bit of a struggle.
