ok, now im extremely mad!!!!

ok,i just got my cellphone bill.. i have two cells,one for me,one for sis.. now i stay within my minutes and she doesnt.. she does well a month or two and then it picks back up.. ok, the bill came to almost 300 dollars. its all toll charges, and long distance charges... its so dumb she cant live within the total minutes i gave her when i took on the 2nd cell... im so mad at her, she says she will pay me, but i doubt it cuz she can barely take care of her own bills.. so guess who get stuck with it?? ME!!!!

Give her another cell, one with a pre-pay card. When she's out of credit, she can't make any more phonecalls. Simple.

johnny, it just pisses me off when she does this.. boy, she cant keep her mouth shut when i comes to the cellphone.. she gets mad at me for being mad at her.. its so stupid... shes 31 yrs old and acts like a teenager, never wants to shut up.. argh....

Maybe a plan change would help. My wife and I both have cells, we're paying about $70/mo for unlimited nights and weekends, no long distance/roaming in what looks like about 80% of the US. 300 free minutes anytime and 500 free minutes cell-cell. She's gabbing all the time on the thing and I don't think we've used up our allowance yet.

I wouldn't just take it away until she pays you, I'd take it away for good! She's an adult with children, therefore she should be responsible enough to keep an eye on how much she's talking and pay for the extra minutes without even being asked. Since she can't seem to do that, if she wants a phone, let her get her own. No point in ruining your credit so that she can gab. JMHO
If she needs one for emergencies, then I'd go with what Johnny said, get her a prepaid phone.

You guys are too nice. If I got burned by a $300 bill with no chance to ever see the money, I'd not only take the phone, I'd tell her that if she wants to make calls she'd better visit 7-11 for a phone card and keep a quarter in her pocket. Failing that, I'd recomend Cambell's Soup cans & string.

Sorry, but $300 is a dent in anyone's monthly budget...

Wow that's too bad arion! It's awful when someone takes advantage of your generosity like that. Clearly she doesn't appreciate how much it costs or how kind you're being because she is not responsible for the bill. Which is bad enough when teenagers whose parents are footing the bill act like that but a grown woman should have a little more idea. I think Johnny's idea is your best bet, get her a prepaid card so when she runs out of credit, she can't make any more calls unless she buys more. She might need the phone so taking it away might not be an option. And if you get her say $100 credit and she runs out in a week, it'll give her a better idea of how much she's wasting.
