Bah, bloomin speedfreak bikers
A mate of mine once compared a motorcycle to 'a supermodel that would be good to look at, if it weren't for the fact that all her intestines are on the outside'. I am going to post a picture of my beauty, Italian design and engineering, in its prime at 33 years old, infinitely stylish, 125cc and proud of it. Racing past someone on one of these would be pointless - how can they admire your style if you whiz past at 100mph? *chants* We are the mods, we are the mods, we are, we are, we are the mods... I can understand you Epona - it's a real beauty . Though I like the design of the eighties a bit more.

Thank you Borvik!
I like scooters from pretty much all eras, they are all slightly different, and each has good points. I also have one of the new automatic Vespas, an ET4, which I have covered in chrome racks and crashbars, very sexy, and the automatic gearbox makes it very easy to ride in traffic. Not everyone is a fan of them, they are styled differently to earlier Vespas, but I like their curviness, modern and retro at the same time. Overall though, I think I prefer the sleekness and length of the Lambrettas over the more bulbous styling of the Vespa, even tho it means there's no room for a spare wheel under the sidepanel. But then that's what racks are for, innit? Mind you, Lambys are notoriously unreliable which probably explains why Piaggio are still producing whereas Innocenti died many years back *sigh*. Mine's the last model they produced in Italy I believe.

When you realize that bikes exceeding 1000cc are considered behemoths, and 150hp/litre is considered extreme...
Years ago, after tiring of my 550cc Yamaha Maxim, I upgraded to Virago 1100cc bike. It really was a behemoth! I don't know how people even ride those 1500cc touring bikes with all the "comforts of home" on them. I don't think I could hold one up at a stoplight...lol. As far as horsepower and speed... I got my bike up to 110mph once on a country backroad while biking with some friends. I didn't like it at all. 70 or so on the interstate was plenty for me, thank you. There is an advantage to a big, heavy bike though. I once accidentally ran over a possum, and it felt like little more than a bump in the road.

It's called the Tomahawk, and it isn't really a bike, although it sort of looks like one. It is the 8 liter V10 from a Viper. It's got 4 tires, but they are really close together, but are indepentdent. I have seen pics but forget the like. Everything bolts to the engine, that is the frame. It is really an engine on wheels with handlebars. It's theoretical at 300mph+, but it has no windscreen, so after about 150, you couldn't hold on. I have a v65 (1100) Honda Magna, the fastest power cruiser ever made. Faster than the VMax (barely) and any Harley without $10K in engine work. It can do around 145, not that I, personally, can, but the bike can and yet this tomahawk thing scares the poop out of me. It is cool looking though.

Was this bike recently unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show. I caught a glimpse of an insane looking bike on the news Yesterday. It was overshadowed, though, (by no small margin) by the unveiling of a new cadillac (or catalac?) with a 13.6 litre V-16 engine . Didn't catch the hp/kw rating though you can guess that its in the extreme high end.
