NWN2 chapter 2 minor quest question

Does any one know of a way for a non spell caster to complete the quest with the littel girl who is afraid of being a witch? I saw a post that you have to show her that magic is fun but my rouge/ranger/invisblade/sd really does not have many "fun" spells. Would a scroll spell work and if so how do you initiate the dialog? I've tried having Safira cast a spell but that doesn't work either. Its not a game killer for me but I may do the campaign with a spell caster or a rogue who can cast spells and would like to know what works.

I solved it by convincing her that by going with the witches she will get to see her brother again. Her mother tells you that she hasn't been quite the same since the witches took him.

I don't remember if there was a diplomacy check involved or not - my pally solved it without the spells.

Thanks! I'l try that option. I tried getting a scroll of magic missle to cast in front of her but that didn't work.
