Seems to me these things are just plain slippery! Half the time they're right in front of me and I get target out of range. Must be the swords are slipping off their slippery skin.

hehehe yes they are annoying but in a odd way - rather fun! I found it amusing that within a battle with fish I could find myself totally turned around and wondering which was was the air.

Fish are like bats: Ridiculously difficult to kill, but worth almost no experience for your trouble!
I don't engage them anymore; when they try to bite, I swim away; I run through groups of bats just to get away from that horrid screeching... |

Warrior to fish: "Hold still while I whack you, you little...!"
"HOLD STILL!" "AAAGGGHHH!!! HOLD STILL!!!!!" Wizard to Warrior: "You're not going to eat that thing are you?" Warrior to Wizard "NO! I JUST WANT TO KILL IT!" "HOLD STILL!!! &$%*#($@)" |

One of the drawbacks of "spawn frequent" . . . cyanide should make 'em all float to the top. Was trying to swim out of the tunnel at the crypt and there were 5 in the way. Holding breath, remembering that burn doesn't work UNDER water.

Curiously, Flamedrop and Burning Haze will work perfectly under water, as well as point-blank area-effect damage spells of several kinds (Elemental Blast is one).

Ah, Piranha. The greatest gift to the Barbarian Quest. Safe and fairly frequent. 20 kills, no time flat.
Getting caught in underwater tunnels sucks though. |

Ahhh... yes...
Being in an underwater tunnel for too long already... Seeing daylight and thinking you won't drown... and seeing about 8 of these little bastards in your way. Hard to hit, and you get a whopping 7 xp? DW Bradley had a little sick sense of humor when he did those guys... |

Not just the little ones. The sea sharks, too. At least you get more experience for them but those things are slippery critters!
