Light Bulb

My husbands boss gave him a laptop, and when he was telling me about it on the phone he said all it needed was a cable and a battery...I wondered what the cable was for, when he brought it home I found out...it was for the docking port!!!

It is a Compac lite|25 (yeah right weighs 10 lbs without the port)
No mouse no cd drive, and there is no way am I using it,lol

I've got an old 485DX66 laptop floating around somewhere. Came standard with a 3.5" floppy, 4MB RAM (expanded to 8MB), a 10" screen, and a 100MB HD.

Gosh, sounds like my mac!
Mac? Think I've got an Apple IIc around here somewhere along with a Commodore 64, Vic 20 and a TRS-80. That was back in the 8" and 5.25" floppy days when needing more than 500kb of storage was unheard of.

My grandfather's machine shop still uses Commodore 64s for some of the software they have... I gave him my old one, and when our neighbors were giving one away at a garage sale, scarfed up a second one.

With the C64 gone, all I've got left is the old 286 (4MB memory, 40MB hard drive). Those were the days....

Lets not forget the 8086. I used to have a Tandy 1000, but alas I don't have it in my archives anymore. I get a kick out of the little kids complaining about their 500MHZ P3's being too slow! Bards Tale? What was that...does it need a 3D accelerator...

I miss my Amiga

and I remember the LC II, that's what introduced me to "Eye of the Beholder"

I forgot about the Amiga. IIRC, the Amiga pretty much launched the whole affordable home PC era. Anybody remember Zork?
