That's not all that bad though. What's worse is that if you miss the hijacker and another passenger then you'd probably be making a hole in the plane meaning you're taking everyone down with it!

Somehow I doubt a single stray bullet from a handgun could singlehandedly punch a hole in an airplane's hull. Come now, they *have* to be more sturdily built than that! Do you realize what's frightening about this conversation? The fact that people have considered this... and that if another plane gets hijacked, they'll demand more drastic measures.. And if one airline *does* try this, the others will soon follow... And people would complain about it, a few of them might even refuse to fly.. but a few (people who go on lots of business trips and book tours and whatnot) will have to go along with it until it becomes 'normal'
