Sewage system and Unseeing Eye's Rod?

I searched the entire sewage system in the Temple district (or so I think) and the underground diseased city in hopes of finding the Unseeing Eye Cults so called Rod? I defeated the demon thang in the temple and searched the holy area only to find a couple of gems. I also searched the face that looks like it's screaming at you when you enter the area before and found only gems as well.... Arrghhhh I'm just sick of seeing all those quests I keep getting in my journal! Area the different sewer entrances in the government district of any significance for this rod too?

First of all, in the temple, it was not necessary to kill the demon thang. It was an "empathic manifest" which is merely a projection of the diseased ones loathing for their god. To end their pain, or the manifest, one must give it something it will not feed on, which is the act of healing. Thus, heal the diseased ones and re-enter the temple, there will the god they have not talked to in millenia. Hope this helps.
