Check this out...

http://www.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/....ap/index.html

So, I'm unpatriotic because I'm not an NRA member, and I'm a terrorist because I think there should be restrictions on firearms.

How far will these nutcases go?

Terrorism is a dangerously abused buzzword since 9-11.

This article reminds me of the two crazy preachers who said 9-11 happened because of gays and basically everyone that were not going to their church.
I guess the NRA VP statement is aimed at the same group of influencable people.

You have to be careful about talking like that in Northern Virginia (where the headquarters for the NRA is based) and watch what Charton Heston does. Thier lobby is one of the strongest in Washington because they have a LOT of money.

Zealots come in many stripes... we have our fair share here. To be honest, they scare me a bit... but I figure in a few years things will change the other way again. I guess the tough stance is to send a message across the ocean to the Middle East, but I doubt they care. As for the folks in this country... I hope ya'll know I am not in this catagory.

what i think little teddly was trying to say is that it's unpatriotic or maybe even stupid to surrender your freedoms without fighting (politically)for them.there are too many people who delude themselves into thinking that if guns were illeagle here that they will be safe.because if you give up the right to defend yourself you will never be safe.

Think again.

He said that anyone who wants to restrict guns (not necessarily ban them) is a terrorist, and another member specifically said that anybody who is not a member of the NRA is not a patriot.

There's no way you can twist their words to sound better - they're nutcases and fruitcakes, and to dare suggest that I am a terrorist for fitting both of these categories is, if anything, un-American.
