lol. This reminds me of a trip to the airport about 2 months ago to pick my girlfriend up. I got there early and was hanging out watching security do it stuff, then this woman walks up. She has a medium size Tupperware full of cookies, two very small shopping bags (about 7" square), her small-medium sized purse and a book. The minimum wage ticket checker would not let her by since she was only allowed 2 carry-ons. He told her she had 5! I was trying hard not to laugh. Finally after 10 mins of arguing with the idiot his supervisor came over and waved her through.

Someone please stop the madness

This is a typical asinine story that happens because of this new
"ZERO TOLERANCE" policy that most officials take. The people weren't taking the toy because they thought it would hurt someone. They took it because they could lose their jobs or be subject to disciplinary action if they didn't! It's
"ZERO TOLERANCE". It's the kind of attitude adopted when one doesn't want to be held responsible for making an on the spot judgment call. Heavens to betsy! Someone might be offended, and we might be sued! In my day, if a child got caught with a cap gun in school, the teacher confiscated it untill the end of the day and MIGHT contact your parents. NOW the children are led away in handcuffs! All these neutered, wobbly-kneed, pissant, beaurocrats crying like scared toddlers for fear of political correctness! It makes me sick! Here's another for you
A Continental Airlines female captain was stopped by airport security for
an extra check and asked to empty her purse. "What are you looking for?"
asked the frustrated pilot.
"Anything you might be able to use to gain access to the cockpit ma'am,"
said the screener.
"Oh, then how about these?" replied the captain, producing the keys to the
Boeing out of her pocket.
"The sad thing is," says Continental president Gordon Bethune, "the
screener kept searching the purse!"

Sleep tight America you airway's are safe ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Therein lies one of the chief hazards of being an order-taker instead of a giver, A. C.

Also, ever heard of "work to rule"? that is how the nameless faceless cog in the machine gets absurd company policy noticed and brought into the light, by mercilessly executing their orders to the penultimate degree, using what the greek philosiphers referred to as "reductio ad absurdium" - taking another's argument and applying it to the most extreme example to show it's inherent folly. Thus the rigid application of rules w/o independent thought becomes the rule's downfall...
