Hi everyone,

Do the innate monk bonuses (-1 to AC every 2 levels, +0.5 attacks every 3 levels etc.) stop after lvl 19? I currently have a monk with AC-9 at lvl 19, -4 from abilities, -5 from items, and -9 from the natural AC improvements (base AC is 9). However, upon leveling up to level 20, I see that my AC is still stuck at -9 (when I was expecting a bonus at every even level). Later, I goofed around and used SK to boost my level to 21 to see if anything changed... but nada. Simiarly, the monk's number of attacks also remained at 4 (when an extra 0.5 was expected at lvl 21).

Interestingly though, I did get the immunity to non-magical weapons and movement rate bonus at 20 (I checked using Infinity explorer), so I am beyond perplexed. Anyway, if anyone can shed any light on this topic, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Happy gaming.

I am level 20 and I think have found the same to be true. In fact, I think (not totally sure) that some of the later patches actually tweak down some of the Monk's abilities. I don't know if they were really bugs to begin with or they got to thinking that the monk was just too powerful in upper levels. (You have to admit that at level 20 or 21, you can pretty much take care of things yourself). I suppose you could e-mail interplay if you're dying to know.

Good to know someone else plays a monk; I haven't found too many.

I am not sure about your question, but I do want to point out that monks rule!!!!!
I am currently level 13, and all I can say is quivering palm kicks ass. I can only assume how powerful a monk could be at the level you are at . . . gives me something to look forward to.

The Readme file on Shadowkeeper suggests that if you change the level/class of a character it doesn't affect the abilities. Only further level gains get them. If you really want to get higher, then download the XP cap remover

I downloaded the xp cap remover and it seems the only thing that keeps adding on after level 20 is the magic resistance, But even at level 21 I found I could go on a rampage and destroy all of amn and the underdark with just my solo monk
