Nah, Johnny, a wiser man than me said that once you have posted a thread on a public forum it stops being yours and becomes kind of "public property", so it does no good at all to act "possessive" about it. That said, I didn't find Cristian's contribution particularly valuable, either, but: so what?
Anyway, Detroit's Chauncey Billups continues to be this year's Mike Bibby: he has never even been an all-star, yet turns in one superstar-worthy clutch performance after another. Very impressive!

That's very true, and knowing that he plays with an injured ankle (he said in an interview it feels like his leg is wrapped up in duct tape) makes it even more impressive. The guy just can't seem to miss in crunchtime.

Just messing with you, Johnny. But if the Pistons can get Billups healthy, which certainly was not yesterday, they'll have a great shot at beating NJ. He's been hitting clutch shots for them all season; it was a great move by Dumars to bring him in.

Because it was somewhere between 4 and 4:30 AM, i couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, that happens sometimes. It's okay though, i saw the game the next day. I never knew the game went into overtime either.

Spurs over Mavs in 7, Nets over Pistons in six.

I just watched game 3 of the western conference finals. It was a great game, won by the Spurs. Imo it was their intense defense that was the key to this victory. Dallas started out furious, with a lot of long range shooting, their typical style of play. But San Antonio kept working on defense, and took a 2-1 series lead, and they totally deserve it right now.
Whoever wins this series, becomes the next champion. The east is just not good enough.

Now that Nowitzki seems to be lost for the series my revised "prophecy" reads: Spurs over Mavs in 5.

Well, who would have thought that the Mavs were able to clinch another win ? Certainly not me... but they got away with game 5. Good news for the Mavs is that Nowitzki might be back in time for game 6.
This isn't over yet.

And so the stage is set for the final round. The Nets made it to the finals for the second year in a row (succesful year for New Jersey btw, the Devils also made it to the finals in the NHL), while in the west the Spurs reched the finals, by beating the Mavericks 4-2.
Last nights game was one for the books. Going in to the fourth quarter, trailing by 15, the Spurs caught fire from threepoint range. Stephen Jackson hit a couple, but it was Steve kerr who turned the game around. The Mave looked energy drained in the last quarter. Weird.. after playing three excellent quarters, you would expect a better finish from a team like that.

I will be very bold now and predict that either the Nets or the Spurs will win this year's NBA title.
