I've always grow up around London. When I started my teens I was speaking to my friends in the common grunt-language adopted by adolescents at the time, and now that I've moved to the East-End I don't ahve to change it
You always grow up in London? You mean every time you are reincarnated you get put in the same dump? Poor you! I can change my accent it's quite funny actually but my accent depends on who I'm speaking to. When we first moved to england we lived in a working class area and so I learnt english in a southern england working class city accent and spoke like that to my friends. Since we moved and I went to college then university, I have had to speak to academics etc. and my working class accent just wouldn't do. I have noticed that over recent years my accent has become more refined and I can sound almost like a university professor However, if I am back with my old mates I sound like gutter trash again It's great Also, I find that if I am speaking to europeans with strong accents in english I tend to slow down so they can understand me but then I find myself speaking in their accent without meaning to!

Vaskez, you are a converger - change your accent depending on accents around you. Same here, apparently it's most common in people from (or who grew up in) the South of England. Those from areas that are proud of their regional dialect (more common in the North) tend to strengthen their own native accent when talking to others.
Which town did you live in, if you don't mind me asking?

Steady, Vaskez, I'd hardly call the East End a dump. Mainly cos I'd get my thumbs broken if I did
It may not have the sparkle that the West End does, but it's still very (ahem) cultural

If she has an Irish accent, brown hair and is good looking, I'll marry her.
Dream girl described above.
