Just want to see any ideas re this game. I am playing ALL of the characters, have the Expansion Pack.

1. What character do you think is the most reliable to get through the game the easiest?

2. Ever found enough green highlighted items enough to make a set? If so, was it worth it?

3. Which Chapter did you find the most difficult, and why, and what was your character?

4. Which monsters (not a boss) gave you the most trouble?

5. What do you choose ring and/or amulet wise for the most part? Extra gold? Extra magical items? Poison resistant/duration? fire resistant? lightning? life? stamina? etc..?

6. Do you go with the usual weapon that "goes" with your character? Or are a rebel type and (for example) ups the sorceress' strengh so she can weild a two handed sword LOL?

7. Do you sell every blue or yellow item you come across (Town Portal anyone?) constantly LOL? (PS-I have, and it seems 20 million is all they let you gain)

8. Do you think Deckard Kain is a bit long winded?

9. How many times do you on average have to ressurect your party member?

10. Do you keep the same Amazon gal from Chapter one and use her and level her up throughout the entire game, or do you dump her for better NPCs later on in the game?

--It all depends on your playing style.. Barbs get it easy in the beginning, Sorcys breeze throuh Hell difficulty

--Well most expansion sets are great, and are worth collecting although hard to find. I have completed mostly DII Clasic sets, and Angelic Rainment set is very good for that low-level- mid level character

3. Which Chapter did you find the most difficult, and why, and what was your character?
--Well it is Hell, Chaos Sanctuary where Oblivion Knights cast Iron Maiden and more... sad... I was a Barb so you know my pain. With the sorcy it's Duriel like you [img]smile.gif[/img]

4. Which monsters (not a boss) gave you the most trouble?
--Oblivion Knights

5. What do you choose ring and/or amulet wise for the most part? Extra gold? Extra magical items? Poison resistant/duration? fire resistant? lightning? life? stamina? etc..?
--As much as possible, get thos Prismatic Amulets (Plus to All res) Or those Skill amulets, or you can get +Skill charms. I recommend you gamble for neat rings and ammys

6. Do you go with the usual weapon that "goes" with your character? Or are a rebel type and (for example) ups the sorceress' strengh so she can weild a two handed sword LOL?
--Hmm yes. But then I plan on using a melee Sorceress next time around

7. Do you sell every blue or yellow item you come across (Town Portal anyone?) constantly LOL? (PS-I have, and it seems 20 million is all they let you gain)
--Rare yes, magical no.. if it were circlets all the time

8. Do you think Deckard Kain is a bit long winded?
--Have I told you about the HoradriM?

9. How many times do you on average have to ressurect your party member?
--My merc... well lesee... when he was starting out... about 20 times

10. Do you keep the same Amazon gal from Chapter one and use her and level her up throughout the entire game, or do you dump her for better NPCs later on in the game?
--She is not an Amazon gal!! hehehe SHe is just a rogue (I Like amazons) And it all depends on your character... popular picks are those of the Act II mercs in Nightmare.. where their auras are might, thorns and holy freeze which is offensive, combat and defensive respectively

Never ever, and that is so frustrating. They are really cool when you have them all. I cheated in the complete death set once, couldn´t be freezed, poisoned and alot of things. Really cool, but you never ever find it unless you perhaps play MP.. :S

Hell is really a big killsack for most types f character except the Amazone and the sorceress. The close in fighters have to get into the fray and get sucked dry by the monsters there. Level two is most difficult for the Amazone and the Sorceress I think..

--- In the beginning thoose mummies resurecting the small mummies and skeletons, sometimes one couldn´t get to them at all. Thats when I found Holy Freeze or jump to be great attcks! Now I hate the freezeing ghosts in Hell level..

5. What do you choose ring and/or amulet wise for the most part? Extra gold? Extra magical items? Poison resistant/duration? fire resistant? lightning? life? stamina? etc..?---
After some try outs, I go with as much resistance as possible on rings and amulettes, and make a crafted armour with loads on finding magic items..

It´s a friggin Hamster dance Diablo 2 now. With the expansion you can do to much with items and it´s a constant merchandising.. :S A bit too much, the game isn´t exciting anymore, it´s all about the money...

There was this townkill cheat from first Diablo... hehe, that was great.. Now I just click click sure a new mission yeah right... Off to save the world..

1.Every character can be interesting and don't have a lot of problems but IMHO the game was made for the barbarian.
2.Yes Sigon's Complete steel.A good set but a little limiting since once you complete you are not likely to change it !

When it first came out, I finished with a Barbarian at Normal level and put it away to play better CRPGs.

Jo just got me playing again, and I'm having a ball.
I'm playing Nightmare level for the first time, and am really enjoying it. The expansion was fun, and I'm having a ball with the cool items.

ladyzekke, I'm not far enough in to really answer your questions, but I will.
a side note: Does anyone else play with "alternate" music? I tend to lower the music in the game, and crank up iTunes. Usually metal, but I've even played to the silky soul stylings of Barry White. [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] AW YEAH ....

I do the same thing Rudy, except with loud, fast music in the background when playing a BG I or II game... I swear, I have some songs that make the perfect background music for the BG trilogy [img]smile.gif[/img]

I've never played Diablo yet, would you recommend it? Bearing in mind that I love the Baldur's Gate series [img]smile.gif[/img]

For BG2, I play the Gladiator soundtrack. I've also been listening to Iron Maiden when I play.

BG2. [img]graemlins/nono.gif[/img] D2 is a hack 'n slash / twitch game. It's fun, and will pull you in, but there are not a lot of "puzzle" or roleplaying parts.

Well if you finished it once already, even if on normal level, there are still some of the questions you could answer. I didn't install the game until a few months ago, just was BG1, BGII, IWDed out, wanted a change, so played the latest Monkey Island (really a change there LOL!), then went for DiabloII. I'm sickeningly hooked.! Yet a part of me hates the game (the not being able to save first before battle sucks, retrieving your dead body, etc., and if it's late at night when you are ready to go to bed, then you die, you have to stay up cause you gotta get all your stuff back, you lose things when you exit and save!).

Oh, and if any one has any special battle tactics that they use, post them! I myself use the run and lure quite a lot LOL! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Oh and after a time, I tend to tire of the sound effects, so turn on music as well! Limp Bizket and Rage Against the Machine are great to get you pissed and ready to rock LOL!

No. Yes. [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] I've got the expansion, so you get extra stuff for semi-complete sets. Right now, I have 2 pieces of Sigon's something, 2 pieces of the Barbaian something, and some odd pieces. (yes, I have a pack-horse characater. I get Jo to start a Multi game, jump in and give him stuff.

3. Which Chapter did you find the most difficult, and why, and what was your character?
Chapter 3 & 5. Those little guys are hard to hit! and those goddam suicide guys in Chap 5 kill me every time!

I sell everything. mundane stuff, potions. blue or yellow. Set items I don't want. Unique items. Everything

We have a running joke. I made a comment that he was a drug dealer, so everytime he talks, I voice over, "Buy some crack!" Jo hates that.

I've got a Barbarian I picked up in Chap 5, but I wish I'd kept my Cold Battle-Mage from Chap 3.
