HELP I AM A POOR CONFUSED NEWB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i have a few things i am not straight on so plz help me out i will list them bellow but plz i realy need some help!

1.i take my warrior to smithy put him in the guild then go get the barbarian quest. the smithy says his little speech about killing 20 enemeys so i go out and kill about 30 highland rouges 10 graveyard skellatons about 50 wogors ans 20 nite bats i go back to him enter the guild and he says nothing( and yes i was alone i went out on my lonesome) am i missing something

2.i got the priest to warlock quest payed the money got the skull and spider egg i go to him he doesent take them plz tell me how to make him take the skull and egg?

3.how do i give the potion to mekadwa(or what ever his name is)?

4.in the toad village when going to see shinwiki yo explore meet a toad in the water pool do you just kill him or what do you do? what would happen if i killed him?

5.i read on some site if you dont get something called the crypt key from the travler on the graveyard path who wants to see Gareth your screwed, is this true? and when i asked him for it and tryed to get it he said to move out of the way or said Yesssssss. Death lies at the end of this road. if it is true how do i get it?

6.how do you get the mavin sword?

7.i explores everything east of the lake how do i get to the other side i cant find were.

8. in the village there are biuldings in a front row and buildings in a back row, how do i acsess the back row of buildings?

9.where are the wizzard and rogue giulds?

As well a side note what are the stats on the Mavin

Welcome to the board, Dude 77!!!

1) I don't know - will think about that for a while. Answer should come to me.

2) You need to go to the MAGIC guild to get the promotion, not the Temple.

3) Click on the Use/Give icon on the left. Make certain that you are in GIVE mode, scroll through your items until the potion is pictured. Click on Mekdawa.

4) There is quite often a toad in your way in the underground passageway. If you can't get him to move, make certain no one else is around and off him in ONE blow/spell.

5) Not true - you don't get a key from that traveller. Later you will meet Kol outside the Temple and you should try to get a key from him but even missing that won't mess up your game too badly.

6) Mavin Sword comes later in the game - much later.

7) Have you sworn the oath and have the ring from the Crypt? Talk to the Oracles. You need to say the right keyword to get them to open up a passageway going west through the river cave.

8) Not ALL buildings are accessable BUT if you don't know where the Magic/Wizard Guild is then you may have a little problem which can be solved. I'll get to that in a moment.

9) There is no Rogues' Guild in Valeia.

Okay- if not all your buildings are accessable, I'm guessing you are playing on a Win2K or a Win XP OS - correct?? If so, go to the last page of the BEST TIPS thread and look for the post on VIRTUALDUB - follow the directions.

I don't have the stats on the MAvin Sword handy but I'll see if I can locate them.

1) Do you have your "Barbarian to be" selected when you go into the Smithy? Have you just waited for him to respond or are you immediately clicking on the guild icon to enter that? I think that may be your problem getting promoted. You're trying to do it IN the guild instead of letting it happen "in the smithy". Always let the NPCs finish their speeches - especially on Class quests.

Hope that's right. I never actually played a Barbarian.

I'd like to thank you for your answers but i have no clue how to get into the crypt to get that stuff how do i get into it?

There is a lever in the crypt, on the left, very dark but its there.

you have to touch the right statue in order to enter the crypt.

giving the potion to mekdawa is easy, just select 'give' and the potion, thenm left-klick onto him. he should say : 'mekdawa need this, toads need this, you are ukabu' you have to stay near him until he finished his little speech, then return to the temple

i'd strongly advice you not to kill any toads unless they attack you first. after installing the patch you should be able to push any 'obstacle-toads' through the caverns.
