Bah, you might as well avoid cars as well...they might blow up as well, and have a much greater chance as well. I doubt the truth of this story anyway...as Andrewas pointed out, its a fake. Besides, I think it would be on the news, especially here in Finland, since NOKIA is a Finnish company.

Disregarding the fact that it is probably fake
Batteries often explode but not severly, althought they may leak acid which burns the story mentions nothing about the severity of the burns.
Also i doubt something as small as this would make the news especially an incident that occoured in a different country.
I have a cordless mouse and that has "exploded" before, it didn't damage me or the mouse, and the batteries were duracell so not only cheap batteries explode although rechargable ones are more likely to do so it is still unlikely that they would do too much harm.
