I'll never use EBconsoles..

I ordered through Amazon.. odd too, I got Dark Messiah the day after it came out. No rush, as I know it sucks right now anyway.

Yeah, its sloppy programming. They need to fire their art director, GUI designer and programmers. They obviously cannot make a game work right.

BTW guys, try this INI change. It turns off water reflectivity and boosts FPS it seems.

Same for shadows.

http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums...l?post=4452654

Be CAREFUL. Backup your INI first. rar/zip it. Only do this if you understand INI files.

If you use this, let me know how it works for you!

Well, I'm up to 9fps now on 1024 x 768. It's as good as I'm going to get I suppose.

Man, that is just a joke... They better fix that with this patch, or NWN2 will see a quick death.

Hmm, I decided to update my Nvidia drivers as recommended on the official forums, now the cutscenes are looking all strange. I tried to roll back the driver but it didn't fix it. I'll reinstall again and see if that works. Bugger.

I am suddenly very glad I have not opened my box yet...
*shivers*
whatever time I manage to get home from work tonight I think I'll try to finish Dirty Meg's module before even trying to install this game on my computer. met two others buying the game yesterday from EBGames and they both seemed very psyched to try it out. I already told the guys at EBGames this game MIGHT come back completely unopened but I'll wait a little longer to see how things pull themselves together over the next few days.

There was a program once that gave you all the statistics of your computer in the form of a webpage. What is it called? For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the program and it was a really tiny one...

No you aren't. You said it ran bad. In my case, it runs smooth!

Well smooth is a relative form. Some people on the forums say it runs fine only to check and see they get a steady fps of 20. To me that isn't smooth. 30-40 is smooth. I get ranges from 25-40 fps mostly in crowded areas (in non crowded areas it can shoot up to 50/60ish) but to me the game still runs bad because it is designed bad! How much fps do you get with your 6600?
