Just received in our letterbox (can't they read 'no junk mail') our first Christmas cataloge .... No I am not silly enough to claim I am the first to receive such rubbish this year but I am grumpy enough to punch the first person to sing ..."tis the season to be merry"

You think thats bad... I went to Lowes Hardware 2 weeks ago and they had Christmas decorations for sale.

Advent calenders already being sold.

I see people walking about with freshly bought wrapping paper (the christmas variety, trees santa reindeer etc.)

Late night shopping for Christmas started a few weeks ago.

The day the Christmas music starts to play is a sad day indeed

Holiday products are sold earlier and earlier every year because industries always expect consumers to buy less than the previous year lately. I saw Christmas costumes (reindeer, Santa Claus) on sale for HHalloween costumes last weekend.

I hear ya the wife came home with a christmas wreath last week. BAH. I have to say I like to get my Christmas shopping done in November. I can not take the crowds in December.

I knew there was a good reason I got out of the retail biz when I did.

Last year corporate tried to have us play X-mas music in Sept. Customers complained so we stopped.

I mean all the hype isn't so bad if only it would come in the appropriate time, say, nearer the holidy itself. By the time the actual holiday itself comes around I could almost care less.
