Ok, i dont really care what the correct term is because you knew what i meant anyway. If you are going to correct what i say, then do it FIRST, and then after that post post whatever else you want to say.
Better yet, if you dont like the way i say it, then DONT EVEN POST!
My my, what an interesting idea that is!

i use ie for a few reasons, 1 is that nathan is signed in to places like here on firefox, so i'm signed in through ie, helps prevent me from posting as him and vice versa. also, altho i seem to be the only person with this problem, firefox would re-direct my page as i started typing a comment on deviantart.com i would end up typing away to my user page, instead of the comment box on someone's peice of art. also what really upsets me is nathan set firefox to be the default browser and now i can only get messengers and stuff other than ie to open up in firefox, making it hard for me to veiw deviant art stuff of my frineds whent hey send me the link through messengers. i can see it, but can't comment without either signing in on firefox which logs me out on ie, or copy and pasting the link to ie. too much of a pain for me, it should all be simple

It was an afterthought, and unimportant (relative to the rest of the post) - just me being picky. Hence why I didn't think of it the first time around, and had to go back and edit my post to add it in.

One solution is to use separate user accounts on the computer - your Firefox settings (bookmarks, history, saved passwords, preferences, extensions, themes, and basically everything else) can be set up individually. The same happens with alot of your Windows settings, and also settings in some other apps. Unfortunately, though, you can't have different default browsers because MS decided that that is a system wide setting (although from what I understand, the architecture is in place for it to be per-user, and other programs that set your defaults for you can hook into that). If that isn't ideal for some reason, you can set up Firefox with different profiles on the same account, which will achieve the same (the information in that link is outdated, but the stuff about setting up a profile and using a certain profile still works the same, as long as you substitute 'firefox' for 'mozilla').

Have you tried asking Mozillazine? They can usually answer most questions fairly quickly.

Still using IE. I've tried other browsers but have a hard time visiting some sites. Especially those that are non english ones.

Opera at home and firefox at work. Couldn't live without mouse gestures now. Prefer the look and feel of opera (except the ads).

Oh and Lennon if you're going to be smartass, so am I The web is not a "small" part of the internet, the web is a service provided by the internet. An internet is just a wide area network of networks and the www is the "web" of interconnected HTML etc. pages that reside on servers that form the internet. You're right in that the internet provides many other services aside from the web though (FTP, email, distributed computing, to name a few).

Firefox since a few months ago. To open a new tab, press Ctrl-T. Or customise the toolbar & add the icon to open a new tab.

Ctrl-clicking or clicking the 3rd mouse button (or wheel) will open a hyperlink in a new tab.

To navigate tabs using the keyboard, use ctrl-pg up or pg dn.
