OK, Thank You very much for all your help, after much debate here is my party.

Paladin (ME)
Elf Fighter
Dwarf Fighter
Human Fighter dualed to Cleric at Level 9
Human Thief dualed to Mage at Level 10

I was going to go with ranger to cleric but if the druid spells got nerfed in HOW then I'd rather GM and use a shield.

I think maybe I'll take a cleric/thief in slot six just till my daul classing kicks in and then drop him. (I can drop him right?)

What do you think?

I think its OK, though i prefer magic over steel .

About dropping characters, the only thing you have to do is go to the window where you can add or delete characters, and do whatever here. This windows appears when loading a game for example, so just delete the char and its done.

Only 5???

I think the funnest would be...

Fighter dualled to Mage at level 6
a full class Human Necromancer
A Half-elven bard
A Elven Conjurer
a Fighter dualled to thief at level 6 (you have to survive the first part)
and a Ranger dualled to Cleric at level 6

Hm rikard, this is 4 mages, and remember, this is not BG2, there arent lotsa scrolls of the same spells so maybe some of your mages would have only a few lousy spells . I think that with 1 main mage and 1 backup mage (a multiclass gnome with cleric or thief) would be ok.

Elven fighter (specialized in long sword)
Elven fighter (specialized in bows and two handed sword)
Human ranger dualed to cleric
Elven thief
Gnome cleric/illusionist
Elven Conjurer

I think this one is pretty balanced (at least for what i like )

I have gone with a

Elven Ranger (great swords and long swords)
Dwarf Fighter (axes)
Elven Ranger (female) (bows and long swords)
Half-Elven Theif (now at level 13) (bows and daggers)
Human Invoker (also specilized in missle weapons)
Human Cleric (specilized in hammers)

Now I like the Ranger because of the ability to gain cleric spells which allows your cleric to concentrate on healing the others while they heal themselves. And a straight theif no duals because nothing can be hid from me. And the specilized Invoker because most of your attack spells are evocations. And with the three fighter classes and one solid archer I have more than enough (Steel) as Ertai_OHF put with some right strong magic and healing to back me up. But as
all ways this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Sure
How bout this

Elven Conjurer
Half-Elven Bard
Paladin
Ranger
Ranger dualled to Cleric
Fighter dualled to Thief

(BTW it's a damn shame you can't be a Ranger/Necromancer coz that's my real class )

It's a Nice party
I would say maybe a Paladin instead of a Ranger becoz of his ability to detect evil
But if you really like Rangers ou should go with a Ranger
I thinks no'one likes exactly the same party so you have to try what's best for you
But like this
your party has everything it needs

Rikard,

You should always wait to level 7 to dual class a fighter or ranger, that is where the extra attack kicks in. Level 9 if you can for the extra 1d10 hit points and cons bonus.
