When i first started playing RPG's I would use a mix of male female characters with no bias in either direction. Then I started to have only female LEAD characters, 'cos I found I felt a bit uncomfortable playing males. Then I was using more female than male in the teams..
Now, I go for all-female teams if at all possible.

Am I just peculiar, () or does anyone else have a male or female bias in their choice of team leader/team members?

I have to confess that I prefer female characters, probably because I guess I can identify with them more and just get more into the role. My team leader is almost always female. However, I try to throw some guys into the mix too, lest I feel guilty and of course some games make having male characters a real benefit.

I mostly try to play a 50-50 team, i don't really know why but i don't feel comfortable with a male or female only party.
My lead is always a male though.

I feel the same way. Always have a lead female character, but do have males in the party.

Not sure I got this one? You mean player characters eh? Well depends on how they turn out. Females male can be both interesting to play and have different agendas. In playinmg groups the RL people gets more interesting with a 50/50 male females IMHO..

I probably go anywhere from a third to a half as female. Typically my lead characer is male, but the BG1 I am playing presently has a female lead.

Hmmm... it all depends. I like having a mix of genders when I play. I have played an all-male party before. Some time I should like to play an all-female party.

I usually bias towards males because the game biases towards males (mainly in strength and attribute bonuses), but I like to develop out the female characters too. I appreciate the games that allow you to develop either one without significant penalties on the basis of gender.

I usually always play a full party of male characters.
I just have more confidence in the gender for fighting monsters than I do the female, you know, the way we scream and run from bugs and everything LOL!

On a serious note, RPG's are gender biased and I like to have a strong party.
