hello guys,
I am back and my real call sign is wyzz not lankst so hello and how are you guys going.I re-started W&W and cheated with the money thing it makes it a lot easier to start the game and not get killed so much.i completed the crypt level and now going to do the toad village.

P.S. what benefit do you get from changing class to a warlock or bard for my magic users. And any other help or tips would be appreciated I know there are tips on this site I have read some but some help with character classes would be nice

P.P.S. How do you climb down a ladder as I allways end up falling down them and hurting myself.

Cheers wyzz

Welcome back into the swing of things, WYZZ! It's good to see you back here!

To respond to your questions...

Your magic users gain the skills of the new class while potentially losing things from their old class. Switching to bard gives you thieves guild access, moon spells, and the music skill (among other things). What you lose is the ability to learn high-level sun, stone, spirit, or vine spells (depending on your class). I recommend you stay in your original magic class long enough to get the level 7 spells, especially in Stone. Sun, spirit, and vine are native spell schools for other classes, so you'll be able to pick those up later.

Climbing down a ladder.... ya know, that's the most common question after "how do I get into the crypt".

The real answer: you have to look down the ladder and walk forward or backward, and then you'll climb down.

The practical answer: more than half the time you're going to fall anyway, so just yell "Geronimooooooooo!" and jump. You only take 1-2 points of damage, which heals up fairly quickly.

I usually try to fall down onto the ladder. It works in the Toad village. Place yourself to one side of the ladder facing it. Then walk straight ahead and keep walking in the air so to speak. Hopefully you will land on the ladder almost at the bottom. Climb down the rest of the way.

Welcome back and with your new handle, WYZZ!!

Wyv

(p.s. I like the FALL/SPLAT ladder technique, myself! The damage isn't that much and it's much faster than trying to master actually climbing down ladders. Sort of a virtual form of bungee jumping without the cord! lol!)

I agree with Bungleau: You should change your wizard to a warlock. That way you get to keep practicing stone and sun magic. In the "Best Tips" thread you can read which spellbooks are available in the guilds. That way you can see which spells you should focus on giving your characters when having them advancing levels.
