Well, i dont have any heroes, cause i live mostly in present and dont look to history too much (i know this isnt right).

Anyway, if i had to tell some names i would say mostly scientifics like Stephen Hawkins, Einstein (this one is the only one i COULD consider as my hero or something) or Marie Curie.
I also like some artists like the spanish Salvador Dalí, Leonardo Da Vinci (this one is the real example of a intelligent, wise and talented man) or writers like Dostoievski.
And finally some politic or human people like Churchill, Ghandi or Malcom X.

there was no most important man. the history is like a river flowing down from moutain. it flows no matter what. a rock in the middle of the stream may temporarily slow the process, but the rock will be crushed by endless effort of the floating history.

what i am saying is, anyone who serves the course of history will be "important" man, and anyone who oppose it will be marked as evil or bad, such as Aldof Hitler, Stalin (though arguably) or Taliban government (i seriously doubt my spelling is right, but this is the country just destroyed all domesical Buddah figures).

there were a lot of important men, but they dont move the history, the history moves itself, more importantly, people move it. people are the ones to be respected. those who lead, because he is happen to be on the same track with his people. anyway, my point is ordinary people are to be respected.

I still say i should call my mom tonight

You're right Rikard. . . .my mom died four years ago. I think all of you should call your mothers.

But, Rikard, really, important MEN! Come on! This is 2001 not 1901! Geez, I thought this was an equal opportunity board.

Well Reeka
Copernicus was not from 1901
Well actually he's from 1473
Born in Thorn or Torun in Poland
died in 1543
published De revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium in that same yeah eventhough he finished writing it in 1530

I respect your opinion
But try telling that to my history teacher
