I know I am being incompetent here, but I can't seem to access the "magic menu" that I see described in the manual. As such I haven't actually been able to cast my own spells yet, even though I bought the restore health spell. The only menus which come up when I right click are my inventory, my stats, and my map. I can't seem to see anything about a hotkey for calling up the magic menu in the manual. Please help...and thanks for bearing with me ...must learn magic...

On an another unrelated note... Phew! Finally got rid of that ugly "The Magistar" picture. The "manshoon" one is much better!

From memory, after you right-click, look down the bottom-left. You should see two buttons, one is the 'health' bar (ie health, stamina and magicka) and the one next to it is the spell one.
Clicking on either of them will cause the relevent menu to pop up or disappear. So click on the right-hand box down in the bottom-left corner and your problems should be solved As a slight aside, pressing F1 (i think?) allows you to allocate quickslots, and you can assign items from the magic menu that way as well.
