Thanks Melusine, his name is Nicolas.

The funny thing is that it was neither my wife's or my first pick! We needed a bilingual (French/English) name that would satisfy the two of us. That's the only one we could agree on even if it was about number 15 on my list and number 20 on my wife's! But I have to admit that even at 6 days old, he does look like a Nicolas

What a coincidence - my niece just had a baby half a year ago (the first great-grandchild to my grandmother) and they called they little boy Nicolas as well!
It's an adorable little baby - very pretty, and he just got two little teeth in his lower jaw. I visited last Christmas and D*MN those little things can bite!! Heh.

Anyway I know a bilingual coupe (French/Dutch) that had the same problem as you and your wife In the end they did decide to call the child Guillaume (which is rare in Holland, but they've moved to France now), but its second name is also Nicolas!!

So here's to health and happiness for all three little namesakes!
Again, my best wishes.

Here's a question for you. Where's Moni? I haven't seen much of her lately either.

Good for them, Nicolas is a fine name (though our 1st son (Nolan) does have a friend name Nicholas who my wife and I just can't stand... it must be the "H")

Wait a sec, that makes you great auntie, congratulations! If I'm not mistaking, you're only 21 (soon to be 22). Sounds like you come from a family just as dysfunctional as mine! I'm 27 and my youngest cousin on my father’s side is now 55! Ironically enough, my father (78) is older than my mother's father (77) and I'm an only child. Is your head spinning yet?

EDIT: this doesn't make sense. How can your niece (your sister's or brother's daughter and your grandmother great-grand-child) had a baby that is now your grand mother first great-grand-child (it should be great-great-grand-child)?

As for the others I assume you mean CrC? I am logged on but frankly can't keep up with the posting there. Everyone posts SC style i.e. twice as fast as mortal man. I suppose it is good for debate, but it adds a certain frenzy that I am not quite used to.

No, it was our choosing. My wife wanted to name him Noel (ARGGGG) that would have been Chrismassy enough . We had chosen the name even before conception. We just kept having second thoughts throughout the pregnancy. If it would have been a girl, life would have been much easier: we both had Natalie as our first choice!

Yes, I was taking about CrC. Personnally, I found the debate in the war forum much faster than it is there - though sometimes they get an influx of post but usually, it's not too bad.

I've seen some of these people at NWN and on MSN. Others have had things come up in their RL they have had to see about.
