For those who care,
My pay went into my account as usual, and as I suspected, my full commission was paid to me.

Now, do I continue to make them look like dummies, or just let it slide?

Having been told it would be taken from your next paycheck, and having received said paycheck without deduction, you it would be good business ethics to ask about it. Maybe after some research they decided it wasn't worth the stink they made, but rather than look like they were wrong, they just let it slide without making a deal out of it. Still, if it's just been lost in the paper work, you don't want it to bite you in the butt later on.

Yeah, and since I've been away and have not checked emails, I may have received something on it. Still, if it's their screw-up, maybe I'll wait fr them to come to me this time. Last time it took them a week to get back to me.

My opinion...

I believe you've already met your ethical obligations by bringing it up the first time when they failed to deduct it. They indicated they would take care of it. Unless it's your job to ensure they do their jobs, you're done IMNSHO.

If you want to be covered in case they suddenly realize it later, take the amount of the commission they were supposed to have deducted and put it in a savings account or money market account, just in case they come back asking for it. If they don't, it was apparently their decision to leave it that way. Who are you to question them? You've got calls to make, after all...

My map work is causing me stress at the moment. Although I did get a form to fill in asking how I found my course and uni. One question was "how good and useful to you find student services, eg counselling department?" I burst out laughing, ticked the lowest box I could, and wrote about the trouble I have been having with them on the back. Relieved my stress nicely.
