Thanks everyone!!!! I've just come back from birthday dinner and drinks...guess which of these is me right now???

and Z, rather than take the day off, my boss and team decided to ALL take the day off and have our Celebrating Success Day (basically a take-off day) today on my birthday!!! So we went to this place called Luna Park (on Sydney Harbour) which is a big amusement park which just happens to be about 3mins walk from my place. They had a ride called the ROTOR which basically makes you feel like you're inside a massive washing machine - it spins so bloody fast that you end up getting stuck to the wall because of the centrifugal force, then they drop the floor away from you and you're literally stuck to the wall while it's spinning. Then HEAPS of Dodgem cars (I managed so run a few preschoolers off the track ) and of course the requisite giant slides and roller coaster (the thing felt so unstable I felt I was going to fly off into the Harbour ).

So a day off to have fun and celebrate success on my birthday, and I didn't even have to put an annual leave day in for it, all expensed - and a liquid dinner to finish it all off. Back with more details when I can actually focus on the screen. Thanks everyone!!!!!!

Happy birthday matey! Heck I got in a bit late. It's 12 on the dot here. Guess it's a bit of a late one but regardless I hope you had a great time there! If you get your butt down in Melbourne at any time let me know and we'll celebrate again...hehe!

Now just try make it through til the next one! That's what I do *L*

Oh yeah I actually call that thing a washing machine! Not sure how you took the ride but one rule about it is to never just stand there! Spin around and scream like a geezer is what I do! Oh and the downside of that one is that if one person chucks, everyone gets to taste it! It may sound gross but it's as true as it can get...heh
