Can everyone do me a favor? If you have time-related problems, like you can't play at a certain time, let me know as soon as possible... Tomorrow would be ideal. That way I can start figuring everything out. As it stands, I have to leave the house for the night at 9:00 GMT, but everything should be fine as long as you post the results on the board, and we can figure out who still hasn't played who when I return.

After staying up late on Fridays, I usually get up and ready at 12:00 GMT on the Saturday. I should be available all day from then on.

Methinks that the final scores will be (out of 14):
1] 10 2] 8.5 3] 8 4] 7.5 5] 7 6] 6.5 7] 5 8] 3.5 I haven't seen the strength of the players (therefore, I can't guess who will get what), but I think I'm going to get 4-6 out of 14. I do fine the first games, but I can't keep it up. After the first 2-3, my brain sorta shuts down and I miss key moves. Since there are going to be 14 games in all (for each person), I highly doubt if I'll do well. But then again, winning that first game as white is fairly key, or getting a draw/win as black is also important. See the recent FIDE Championship in Tripoli for details, where they had a similar bracket system as we do. But, I want to wish everyone good luck, and let's see some good fighting chess I hope no one goes for quick draws. [ 07-09-2004, 08:54 PM: Message edited by: Assassin ]

Alright, I suppose there's little harm in revealing the lineup here. Everyone, you have 24 hours to play two 10-minute games with your assigned partner. Post your results here, and I'll condense them into one post, along with the next round, when everyone finishes.
The first round is: Black Baron and Assassin DragonSlayer and CerebroDragon Encard and Desuma Jaradu and Raistlin Good luck, everyone, and keep us updated! If there are any questions or problems, PM me. I'll be checking up on everything all day.

BTW, should we save the move scores for posterity, or are we only interested in the results? [ 07-10-2004, 02:14 AM: Message edited by: Desuma Malevois ]
