You mean NPCs to hire? No. The quests are two-thirds "kill X amount of creatures", like in all games, but every now and then it will come up with a challenge, a small puzzle or a maze or something. I find the game... hmm... well, i've beaten it about 17 times so far, so guess how much I like the game by that

Thanks Bozos! I really don't like a game that's too questy-texty either. It seems pretty ok so far but I think I just scratched the surface.

Out of curiosity, how far along have you gotten so far?

If your paladns are still low level, I strongly recomend making one a cleric for raise dead and resurection. They help A LOT, though aren't needed if you have flawless gameplay.

If you plan on taking them to HoF mode, know that Turn Undead will not help there. Not even in the area-of-many-undead-later-that-I-will-not-mention-now. And you can resurrect from Scrolls with just one level of Cleric, Druid or Rogue w/ Use Magic Device.
So what is teh final party composition of rough stats, weapons and groove?

I pretty much went with the stats as above. The 3 Paladins have Large sword, axe and Greatsword. The Rogue is a Gnome with dex con and int at 18 and dual short swords.
It looks like I should do 1 lvl of cleric with at least one, or maybe all Paladins?
Should I keep the rogue pure or what?

Edit:
Sorry Marty, just noticed your post. I'm still at first lvl all though I'm close. How should I split Paladin and Cleric lvl?

Evenly, since they're Drow. But since you've got your Rogue, it's unrequired. Atleast by my standards. Their Lay on Hands will do miracles, you'll see.

What do you mean by evenly? Are you saying not to dual-class the Paladins and make the rogue a cleric?

Evenly means that their levels should be at a maximum of one apart(10/9, 4/5 or 6/6, not 5/8 or 1/11). Don't dual the Rogue, just invest in "Use Magic Device" to be able to use scrolls of Heal, Resurrection and the like.

Ok thanks.
Since Use Magic Device goes by charisma, I assume the Paladin(s) should cover that area?
