I must admit it is very short, but the FUN factor is still there. How you weight the two, is up to you.

Oh that looked a littel harsh, I have since started to play the game through from the beggining with the expansion installed and I have to say that when you do it again from the beggining it realy does remind me why I bought the game in the first place, it's great fun. The expansion makes many welcomed changes to the original game and I think it's deffenetly a good buy. BUT ITS TO SHORT AND TO EASY! (time for the new hard difficulty setting)

Is it just me? Or have you also thought that Icewind Dale & Heart of Winter were created to test out some ideas/items/monsters/spells that they could use in the Baldur's Gate series? Don't get me wrong, it's fun. But it's a nagging feeling I get when I play it.
