What is your opinion about killing famous characters like Drizzt?

Forget about killing the famous people, I can't even kill some of the bad guys. Call me a soft sod, but someone begs for their life, I can't help but let them live. Like in BG1, in cloakwood mines, when you you get that daevoron(sp?) and his apprentice is there. I -could- kill him, but I don't. I don't know if it's out of alingment or just the way I am.

i always ask myself this question: does this person's existance make my life better? if the answer is no, which is usually the case, i have no qualms about eating their soul and hocking their equipment. their fame is never an issue, it just means more people will show up at their funeral.

I killed drizzt. It was damn easy too. All it took was a few lower resistance spells , followd up with a finger of death and *POOF* , no more drizzt. Here is another tip for all you sadists out there and it is a possible spoiler

if you have drizzts gear on you when you come out of bhodis dungeon after killing her , malchor harpel will show up and attempt to confiscate it. If you get ornery with him , he imprisions your WHOLE PARTY !!! , If you are in a sadistic mood , just insta-kill him with "crtl+y" he will keep dieing and respawning its cruel and unusual , and damn funny the first 100 times you do it

Yeah I wasted Drizzt with my Fighter/Assassin. In hand-to-hand combat too..
It was pretty cool. We squared off party against party, with Minsc going for the Fighters while Edwin and Imoen engaged in a spell-throwing fest at Cattie-Brie and the halfling, and Viconia and Korgan running around making a nuisance of themselves. Then it ended off with my Assassin against Drizzt/s whirling Scimitars, when my Assassin turned herself invisible and blew Drizzt into chunks.
