This is the third time I have seen you use it, so that suggests I have been more than patient - just want to know - is this a UK / US spelling thing?

When I do a google search for CURMUDGEON I get 89,100 hits and a definition - to whit "An ill-tempered person full of resentment and stubborn notions". Davros nods head sagely, and a whimsical smile subtitlely curves the edges of his mouth .

When I search for CRUMUDGEON I get 650 hits, a vague reference to some guy calling himself Bob the Crumudgeon, and two messages from the search engine enquiring about whether I really wanted to search for Curmudgeon. It seems like Crumudgeons are a really popular thang in Caleyeforneeyay (the state dominates the first two or three pages that Google bought up for me).

My dictionary unfortunately only has curmudgeons in it, whereas it is lacking in crumudgeons. Looks like I need to get a better dictionary .
