Grammarian hat on for a friendly "curmudgeonly" rant :

This is the third time I have seen you use it, so that suggests I have been more than patient - just want to know - is this a UK / US spelling thing?

When I do a google search for CURMUDGEON I get 89,100 hits and a definition - to whit "An ill-tempered person full of resentment and stubborn notions". Davros nods head sagely, and a whimsical smile subtitlely curves the edges of his mouth .

When I search for CRUMUDGEON I get 650 hits, a vague reference to some guy calling himself Bob the Crumudgeon, and two messages from the search engine enquiring about whether I really wanted to search for Curmudgeon. It seems like Crumudgeons are a really popular thang in Caleyeforneeyay (the state dominates the first two or three pages that Google bought up for me).

My dictionary unfortunately only has curmudgeons in it, whereas it is lacking in crumudgeons. Looks like I need to get a better dictionary .

Nice Avatar by the way ole pal

Davros, I'll be on the next flight down, so stake out a couple of seats in your favorite pub - I'm going to buy you a round...

Are crumudgeons curmudgeons who crumble after a while ?

Nah, I believe MagiK is changing avatar every other day because he keeps replying to threads asking why he is changing avatar every other day ...

BTW, "every other day" is such a funny expression - what exactly is an 'other' day ?

I think it's either the day after yesterday, or the day before tomorrow, or maybe something other...

Hey Wurm! Did your friend Butterscotch get his password yet?
Not sure I'll ask him tonight
Just saw him post so I know he's on the board now! That nick is pretty interesting... I'm trying to figure out how one of my favorite candy flavors can be 'heartless'! LOL
He is really regreting the name choice now but that was the name of his NWN blonde elf assasin. He thought it was a "requirement" to pick a RPG name when signing up here

He's known as Grogchief at all the other forums he goes to.
