Awe, Cloudy, don't get all melty on us! I feel so silly now

Well anyway, day seems to be going reasonabley well. Woke up this morning and decided it was too cold to get out of bed so I ditched my aviation class for an extra two hours of snuggling in my bed

Everyone's getting sick! My mom has a pretty bad cold, and so do a few of the people on the computers next to me. I guess that means I'm next on the list

Feel better everyone, I have to work on some history stuff

Hi!

*Goes to slink away, but remembers the no-one word posts rule*

Just got some horrid news. My dad's new girlfriend has leukimia. I don't know the specifics of it, but she lost the baby and is seriously ill.

Hey Megabot! When did you get back?

~Kaltia, whose hard disk died for about two months.

Well, since he's not around to answer , he arrived (back) around two weeks ago.
Sorry to hear your bad news

There are counterings to my mood, though: No school, just beat BG2, and listening to some 'Tallica. Cooking some pizza now and gonna watch the original Star Wars.

Storm, since you probably feel similar to me, I suggest just forgetting work and/or school for a couple hours and just listening to music or watching a movie. Works for me. Well, later guys!
I wish I could forget about work, but mine is a 24/7 job, I have kids remember? anyway, thanks for the thought anyway I will just load up on cough medicines, and deal with it tomorrow as best I can

on no, I am so sorry to hear that makes my complaints feel so small i hope everything turns out well, if it is surviable, I think she can have kids after the chemo, I know my cousin had normal uterus cancer, and survived, and had a son afterwards

Hi everyone, thanks for your earlier advice

I have one more day to prepare for the talkshow which starts in 24 hours' time. So tomorrow, I'll have to be in office at 6.30 am to catch a cab there with another colleague, and be at the studio by 7 am.

As for the format of the talkshow... it's meant to help promote the company's policies, but there will be callers so we need to be alert and able to give impromptu responses in good grammar. That's the part I'm most concerned about - I've no problems rambling casually, but to be the face of the company and give a response - that's a totally different ballgame! My bosses aren't even comfortable going out there (there's a lot at stake here) and me being a lowly executive... ... I can't say no without getting a major markdown I have spent last night trying to cram in as much information as possible, and tonight I'll have to do the same, after my project team meeting which starts after 5 pm.
