Cool Dude

This is the puzzle:

. . .

o o o

What you have to do is draw 3 lines (dont have to be straight) from each of the three circles, to the 3 dots. So you draw one line from the 1st circle to the first dot, another line from the 1st circle to the second dot, and one more line from the first circle to the third dot. And you have to do that for each circle. The trick is that the lines cant cross. I have never been able to do it but I have heard that there is definitely a solution. If you figure it out then please find a way to post it here or someother way to share it. Good Luck

You'll have to let one line pass through an O. Otherwise it cannot be done.

hehe...pretty easy! Got it on the second attempt. Want the solution or do you want me to hold back a bit?

Edit: Actually here it is. If anyone doesn't want to see the solution don't click on it!

Well, usually the hint I provided IS regarded as the solution. As in "you have to connect yadda yadda yadda".. "you'll have to trace a line through an O".. "Oh you know it".

Solution (the one I prepared):

Yours have some aesthetical qualities in it's simplicity. I just figured it would be nice to provide it now that I had made it already.

Aside from passing a line through a circle, discrte mathematics proves this impossible. I forget how, it's been a while since i studied discrete. Bokken, your picture is flawed, you have joined a dot to a dot.

I knew someone would point that out! I'd like to say that I didn't actually join a dot to a dot but a line to a line. It's actually not a line joined to a line (or dot to a dot if you will) but a case that the dot (or circle if you preffer)is not big enough. I like to alter things yet still bring out the same effect. Solution is there, just leaves you guessing...hehe

Impossible in two dimensions. Is bending the universe through a third dimension allowed?
