I've started a trio to make a challenge. Feel free to make comments on trios you have tried or pose ideas for good parties. Do most who do a trio try to balance the magics? Of course, all you need is one bishop. Here's the current one:

Gnome Lord M "McAdamia" (Scottish, using Bloodlust and hammer)
Faerie Ninja F "The Viper" (agressive? brit, using ench. wak and nunchaka))
Mook Bishop F "Muck" (could have used a mage or sam, loner?, using whip/shield)

The bishop actually started out human for five levels. Had second thoughts and dropped her. Added a mook (for the GS) when the other 2 had 40K+ XP. The mook is still recovering speed but intelligence is maxing nicely. This set the bish development back for the early levels and lost 2 spells but now she overlaps the ninja (lev 8). They are almost done in Arnika and starting to get pretty good. The golem in the bank was pain and a half, though, without armorplate.

Edit: added the weapons, AC is 9-10 with armor and trinkets

Bishop can't use sword. That's my only problem with your plan, even if you're gonna switch later, your weapons skill will be way behind.

Some of my fave Trios:

Samurai, Bard, Bishop

Lord, Ranger, Bard

Fighter, Rogue, Bishop

I also went with three Lords once, just for fun.

I once ran a bishop (faerie), bard, gadgeteer (both hobbits) and they rocked.

Scatter, I know what you mean about GS. It'll be a option to switch (to ranger, valk or lord). With the high intelligence she might learn sword pretty fast, though. The shield skill would be wasted, however, but she's not building it up. The bigger worry is high enough strength, dexterity and speed.
