hey folks,

ive had WoW for about 2 weeks now and I am playing a night elf hunter. Before you start yelling "12 YEAR OLD!!!" and all that rot, i would like to say some things.

- my name is in no shape or form a variation of drizzt or legolas
- i didnt know that hunters were so powerful when i started playing, i just liked the idea of the class
- i didnt realalise there was so many alliance people compared to horde.
- i am respectful to all those around me and dont act like a complete idiot.

now even those the above are true i am constanly bombarded with taunts and jibes from other players because i chose the "noobs" character. I do not want this, i want people to respect me for my playing ability and like me for the fact that i enjoy playing, not harras me because they dont like my character.

so what is your opinion? do you think i should just ignore evetyone i come across and have no hope of being needed in a guild or just reroll a horde character that isnt spammed and enjoy myself that way?

Damn right ignore everyone! Play what you want!

I play a NElf Hunter, and I've seen people a lot older than me (16) act a lot more immature.

I chose NElf Hunter because my "main" character in all Fantasy games is an elven ranger/archer, Ivelliis.

*see sig pic*

I would suggest joining a guild. It's one of the reasons I keep playing cause I'm good friends with the guildmembers I play with (even though we are all from different countries). Plus it's easier to get a group for instances.

Fact is, Nelf Hunter is a very overplayed character. Plus, endgame guilds may very well be biased against allowing your char in once you hit 60. If you really enjoy this combo, then by all means ignore the nay-sayers. That's if you want to enjoy your character. If you want to enjoy the game socially, I would suggest rerolling, perhaps as a priest. And you will certainly find more maturity on the Horde side.

Biased against allowing a hunter to join a raiding guild because they are a NElf?

I'd stick with the hunter if I liked it. Any raiding group worth joining will be more interested in your skill than your race.

Hordies say they're mature really often. That's not a sign of maturity. I've played both sides quite some, and there ain't much of a difference... hordies whine about pallies rather than shammies tho

I started levelling an orc a few months ago. Considering I play on a RP server I've never saw so much leet before I went to the Crossroads. It makes Elwynn look...nearly bearable.

My main character was NIght Elf rogue, my second one was a Night Elf hunter, I never got any disrespect because of it, and there was no shortage og guilds willing to take me in. Even Raiding guilds.

hmm looks like ill go head in the sand then.

It would be fun to be able to make an IW guild, when the new server change feature comes in it would be possible...or we good all reroll on another server lol.
