So I get started with NWN, survive the Training Academy, and make it into Neverwinter proper. I've got the halfling thief henchmen to my human bard. Should I trade up? We make a pretty good pair as long as the foes don't surround us.

I can't have a Swiss Army party? Curses! Here's hoping I get more henchmen (and henchwomen!) after I level some more.

'fraid not. Which is unfortunate. However, it does get better in the expansions...

Things are getting hairy. I end up waypointing to the Temple every time thief boy can't hack it. I'm rotating between the barbarian, the cleric, and the thief. I figure eventually I'll have every henchperson in Neverwinter in the Temple, waiting for me to come back.

I'm not liking NWN as much as I liked the BG series, truth be told. The plot latched onto me and wouldn't let me go. And I'm used to having a gigantic party. I rarely solo, and only then when I think I know what I'm doing. Here...I feel like I'm being punished for something I didn't do.

The Orginal Campaign really excels in multiplayer, but tends to get boring when you play it alone. Fortunately, the Expansion Packs are considerably better and there are many mods of superior quality available. Because of those, I'm still playing NWN.
