OK ... then explain to me when I use the build spread sheet for a "wood elf" ranger it counts a wiz change as a xp hit and the AA levels after the change as a xp hit.... If I do the same build as a moon elf or drow ( granted it it is fighter not ranger) the xp hit (according to the spread sheet) does not happen. I'm really confused... if mage is a prefered class for all elves then there should not be a hit if using wood, moon or drow... correct? But by the build spreadsheet wood elves using a " wizard" class is a xp hit. Oh wise one .. please prove me wrong!!! I'm really confused or maybe it's just the free beer... ( if i could, my friend you would get some of my free beer)

The build calculator is off for NWN's 2 then. I looked it up in the character creator, and the preferred class for Wood elves is ranger. Trust me on this, I just finished the game with a woodelf ranger/wizard/aa. Wizard is the preferred class for moon elves, for sure, and possibly sun elves, I'm not sure about drow yet, as I've yet to mess with one. However, the best way to see the preferred class for a specific race is to look while you are generating a character, it specifies on the description, when you select the race. Then you can base your build from that, instead of the calculator. It's evidently bugged where wood elves are concerned.
