A favorite, cynical one, of mine is

"If you don't have anything nice to say about somebody, come sit next to me"

can't remember who said it though

Okay, Silver Cat Lady, here is a quote which reflects my essence, as I like to perceive it at this particular moment in time

This is from "Walden" by Thoreau:

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion."

Procrastinators unite! Tomorrow!

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

What are you saying? Are you trying to tell me you have feelings now? Ha, ha, ha... Stop acting as if you're sad. And there's no need to act as if you're angry either. Because, Cloud, you are... a puppet.

Er. Wow. I think... So that's you, huh, Diogenes? Admirable. I mean it.

But, um, I'm with Sephiroth on this - 'Procrastinators unite! Tomorrow!' - but I would LIKE to be like your quote.

I love quotes... and collect them. SO it's always hard for me to choose 'one', because the one that defines me depends entirely on the day, my mood, what's happening in my life. There is one that I choose to live by to the best of my ability tho: Be Kind, for everyone else is fighting a harder battle

Of course, the one that fits my life at this time is: I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.
