I had brought my computor down into my basement to download a couple things for SimCity, and I was surprised at how speedy it seemed to be. Plugged in the cable, and went on the internet and I was at my home page in 1 second flat. Zippy fast and hardly any waits. Now, I went onto my mac, and I have slow drawn out waits. I was wondering why this is! Its the same cable that I used, just unhooked it from the mac and put in the PC, and its for High Speed Internet. Whats really wierd is that when we had upgraded from 56k, THIS was zippy fast. And on my old old computor, 14.4 modem, that was zippy fast. Does this mean that my mac is downsizing it? That instead of 14.4 I was using 7.2k or something, and 56k was really 14.4 and this cable internet that I'm using is really acting as 56k?

Hmmm... my first guess would be different configurations. What I'd check is your speed... and there are a couple of places that can check your download speed. I can't think of any, but if you google away, you're sure to find one.

I'd compare the download speeds on both machines and see what the difference is.
