I summun 5 Arial servants. Then cast magic resistance on the dragon then have ages casting magic missles and 2 clerics casting holy smite. Very effective way of killing Frikgad I found. And also you fighter don't really have to do anything except draw fire away from your clerics and mages.

How do you kill em?

I cast mad protective magic on all my guys...every clerical and wizard spell you can think of in terms of defensive spells. on top of that, throw in some haste. then, i have my front line fighters gather around the dragon in a circle and start smashing as my mages release a sequencer or two with pierce magic and lower resistance. the fighters incessantly keep on smashing the dragon, and after his/her resistance is down, the magic missiles start coming in.

if all my guys are at a certain level of power, this technique more or less serves me well every time.

2 or 3 mordenkainen's magnificent sword, fighters and summoned swords attack dragon, mages stay back and lower resistance, then clerics and mages pummel dragon with magic missiles, bolts of glory and flamestrikes, dragon dies.

all the dragons i have killed in order:-

shadow dragon: three githers and one fighter druid hyped on haste and chant, while nalia and aeirie cured and blasted the dragon.

firkragg : magic resistance, harm, magic missile

black dragon, 6 cloudkill, the a horrid wilting when hes casting heal on himself.

silver dragon is good, so i left it alive.

dragon in hell you have to be evil to fight, and im good.

i know some of these were lame cheesy tactics.

some people wonder which is the hardest dragon, and since all three were wasted by the same person (nalia, believe it or not) i can say that the game considers firkragg to be the hardest. odds are the red dragon in hell would be even harder tho.

The Dragon in the Nine Hells is a Black Dragon, I know this because he uses Black Dragon's Breath.

Oh for the record, the fastest I killed a Dragon is half a round or so. Amazing what 6 Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting in 2 Chain Contingencies from 2 mages can do to a Dragon.

There's a link in my signature to a webpage where I list all the tactics I have used.

If not a Sorcerer casting total oblivion, then a Cavalier meting out justice. Otherwise, I think I will just be a Blade and torture my enemies with, "My Heart Will Go On".

I generally do it the hard way. Cast all the protective and enhancing spells (like Haste and Bless) I can and then just cut into him.

I keep my weaker characters (thief, mage) back a bit and away from each other, where they attack with missiles and spells. I hit him with everything I have and summon all the critters I can.

I usually lose 1-2 characters, but just resurrect them right back.

I cast protection spells on my party, summon monsters and then surround the dragon so that he can't hit all my characters with Wing Buffet at the same time. That usually works for me.
