I recently got a new computer and wizards and warriors no longer seems to work correctly. It wont let me enter the wizards guild or the gate to the cemetary from valeia. I'm using windows XP proffessional. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Welcome to the board, Jezzrian!!!

W&W was not designed to run on WinXP but there are ways to make it work. Read through the TECH TIPS thread - almost all issues with Win2K and WinXP are resolved therein. Sounds like you'll have to do the virtual dub fix (also explained in the Tech Tips). It may be necessary to do some other minor adjustments.

If reading the Tech Tips doesn't help solve your problem, repost here but please include a complete list of your hardware, video card, OS, version of DirectX - anything that might have something to do with why the game isn't working right!

Welcome to the boards, Jezzrian. May the skies grow brighter with your presence.

In addition to the virtual dub stuff that Wyvern mentioned, you may also need to flip the "Win95 compatibility bit" in the icon properties. Full details are in the Tech Tips thread, the place where Activision support comes to look for answers

In the front of the thread, you'll find the list of things we'd like to know in order to get things working properly. We can make it work... we haven't been stumped yet (although we were close once...)
