Question Mark

Hello all,
You may have noticed (or not) that I haven't been on the here in a little while. I'm afraid real life caught up on me! Since I've been away I started college, loved and lost and started finding grey hairs on my head! They're multiplying as well, I’ve got 10 as far as I can tell and I’m only 17!

At college I'm studying Access to University Highers in English, history and accounting. Loving English and history, not liking accounting very much, I’ve never been any good with numbers but it was advised that I broaden my horizons.

My life plans changed a lot since my faith in organised religion has gone since my pastor committed adultery and was found fiddling the books. I've still kept my faith in the Lord though! I'm now planning on being a social worker since Scotland seems to be in dire need of them, plus I feel it would be a good way to put back into the community. Apart for those reasons I have the hidden agenda of becoming a politician some day and social worker seems a good vote winning background!

Anyway that’s what I’ve been up to, see you all around!

Since I could, hold my head up high
And it's been a while
Since I first saw you

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Haven't heard that song in ages, and that sentance just reminded me of it.

It's good to see somebody is liking English, I can't stand it. My hair has always been on the borderline of brown and grey and blond... It's a very odd mix. When I was little it used to be all blond, but then it slowly started turning greyish brown. Parts of it got browner, some stayed greyish brown, and around my temples it is still blond. Weird. :\ Like this girl who sits behind me in Math, she has one blue eye and one green eye. It isn't noticable unless you look directly at her eyes, though, but if I was her I'd get contacts.

Howdy again chaps. Cheers for the welcome.
Lol, Jeffi0, i was listening to that song on TV when i was writing my intitial post. Well, it does sound like that lassie in your class needs contacts, maybe i should get "Just for Men". My hair is black naturally so the greys stand out a mile off.
Can't believe you don't like English, well i can cause most people in my class hate it.
Ah doing prectical work is always more fun that first learning how to spead write then listen to lectures for hours at a time! But still the topics in History are pretty good, we're doing the growth of nationalism just now in history and we're reading "The Cone Gatherers" in English, they pretty much go hand in hand!

I don't like english because your mark really depends on the teacher. Each teacher likes different formats and ways of writing. With math and sort of science, the teacher doesn't make a difference- the answer is right or it's wrong, and which you get is entirely up to you. I have had some tough English teachers... My gr9 English teacher also had a religion class, and religion is supposed to be easy, but Jesus himself would've failed that Religion class...
