This has been bugging me for a long time. Is there any difference between Pentium and Celeron Processors, if they have the same amount of GHz? Just really curios. Thanks!

The difference is that on the celeron there is only 25% of the cache memory. I think the rest of the chip is identical.
But the lack of cache memory has an impact on anything that does a lot of number crunching, games with heavy physics or compex AI for example.

As andrewas said, the Celeron currently used 128kb of cache memory while the Pentium uses 512kb. There are minor variances on this depending on chip age, ie bother older Celerons and Pentiums used 256kb. Being that cache is in effect memory directly embedded in the chip, it's much faster than regular memory so the mre you have the better.
Currently the Celeron runs on a 400MHZ FSB, while the Pentium runs on a 533MHZ as well as a recently released 800MHZ bus. This is the speed at with the processor talks to the rest of your system again faster being better. To put it in perspective a 1.7GHZ P4 will probably be equivalent or slightly better than a 2.0GHZ Celeron.

Celerons are the budget version of the pentium. They dont target the same market and are good chips to have in office machines and school computers. Not much use on a games machine, the lack of cache hurts games a lot. All relative though, the games will still run.

The main use is that Celerons are sold to buisness' while Pentium are developed for home systems. Other than the physical features that is the difference.
