Bravo Wellard, I also have a massive fear of heights and am glad to hear of someone doing such an impressive feat and overcoming the fear.

Be sure to let us see the photos, I am sure the view was amazing.

Well done Welard! I'm not to keen on heights, but I did climb to the top of the eiffel tower on Sunday (school trip to france and belgium) and I was really not looking forward to it on the stairs up, but at the top I was like "wow, you can see loads of Paris". Then we had free time and got lost
Apologies if I make the topic about france, big structures or getting lost
Again well done, it must have been cool reaching the top!

'grats wellard! i cant' imagine being there. i personally believe we have our irrational fears for a reason. not always to protect us but to help us grow. would you have done that if you did not have a fear of heights? i dunno how popular the trip is, but i personally wouldn't do anything like that unless i had something to beat.

good luck with conquering your fear!

heyy i tried that once, it definitly is scarey! you have cars zooming below you and the sea winds pushing you against the rail, i wanted to get off too! have you also noticed the price for it? well its worth it i reckon. u need the true courage of an aussie bloke to withstand that pressure

Well done! and it sounds like you well and truley deserved that beer!

EDIT: Next time we have a Sydney get to gether Wellard we will all go Bungee Jumping!
Pass on the bungee jumping

I know lots of real old people do the bridge climb TDC, I just had to see if I could controll my fear. My fear will always be there, it will never leave, I just dont like being a slave to it

I think you're fargone crazy! My legs are weak just reading this. I'm perfectly comfortable right down here. Not a big fan of heights myself although I don't mind planes. I think it's that it's so high I know I'll be dead for sure if anything happens.

Just a pic halfway to the top of the bridge. Note the false smile

I will add some more when I get back to Australia in late November
