A friend of mine's sister is a finalist for a competition being held by Prevention Magazine. She's a breast cancer survivor (first in a whole family of breast cancer survivors), and wants to educate more women about the need for checkups and exams so they can avoid the ultimate side effect of breast cancer.

Done. Janet's running 3rd right now with 1680 votes, behind Kate Adamson-Klugman (1707) and BJ Reed (2045). Voting runs till May 25th so she's still got some time to catch up.
