Next time anyone's trying to defend WorldNetDaily's credibility, I know what I'll be linking to. This is just wrong in so many ways...

Well, the indoctrination has to start early to have the most effect.

I look on it more as getting the kids ready for the brain washing they'll face once they get in school.

By their teachers who have liberal bents?
Seriously, I had one teacher who moved any direction other than due-left-of-center, and he kept his mouth shut about his political views.

OK, from my outsider's high horse I write this book off as pathetic, politically-polarising vitriole. It's a somewhat hasty and foolish judgment to make, as I havn't actually read it yet, but ah well. I just get a little uppity whenever I hear people draw lines between 'liberal' and 'conservative' camps.

Politics as usual.
I did find it interesting at the bottom of the linked page; Related Items, Conservatives are from Mars (Liberals are from San Francisco) to be a little bit off, well maybe 3200 miles off. Don't they come from the opposite side, Where they can roam the roads in their Rolls Royce's and share a certain spread with each other while self benefitting from their latest tax increase?

Oh what Conservatives are not alowed to have a point of view? That's amazingly Tolerant of you folks. Why don't you go write your own books, get your own talk radio hosts, quit complaining about others, and getting upset when they have a differant point of view. That sounds a whole lot like you're trying to control the way people think and act, HMMMMMMMM isn't that one of the complants and crys(as in crybabying) that the Libs try to say the conservatives are try to do control people.

a) agree with the sentiment of the book or b) disagree with the sentiment of the book or c) are indifferent toward the sentiment of the book So far NO ONE has stated that people are not allowed to think the way the author of this book thinks. What are you on about JD? [ 08-16-2004, 02:17 AM: Message edited by: The Hierophant ]

You know John, you don't have to act like a stereotype all the time. I'll be frank and say that if you really educate your kids with aforementioned book, I think you're a terrible parent - it's just plain wrong to try to force your politics on young, impressionable minds and learn your kids to fear and hate those with other political leanings, to learn them to be intolerant of those with other views. And let it be noted that my opinions are the same when a liberal child's novel is putting the conservatives in the bad guy's position. I know, it's inevitable that your kids adopt certain views and inherit certain prejudices; but that doesn't mean you should force these on them - just let them make up their minds for themselves. But if you try to *force* certain political leanings onto your kids in their most impressionable age (and thereby heavily influence the way they think during the rest of their lives), you're doing just the thing you tried to accuse the liberals of in your post (namely trying to control the way they think and act), ironically enough.
