AMEN FOR REDNECKS!!! WOOT!

Yup, I shop at Wal Mart...and yes, I'm from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains...so, by a few definitions, I'm a redneck...and proud of it...

Though I do have complaints about Wal-Mart...but I also have complaints about many, many stores...after all, they don't carry 12 sided dice!

Well, I am not a redneck or any of the other examples of WM shoppers. I am a poor family man, gamer, punk rock stoner, and proud of it.

I guess when I read the thread before, I was being sensitive. I fall into some generalised demographic of WM shopper, and its represented here as...well, you read them. It does'nt matter, I know nobody means any offence.

Hell, I'm a redneck and I wouldn't touch wal-mart with a 10-foot pole. Fortunately for me there *are* no wal marts where I live...just a Target, which I try to avoid as well

Good one!

Look, to anyone who took umbrage to the word redneck, get over it. I shop there too. I just can't resist the Sam's Peanut Butter Cups, in fact. Tons better than Reese's and at $2 bucks for a huge bag -- they rock!

Anyway, the references to "redneck" and "beating kids" are actually references to Jeff Foxworthy's comedy, so I guess I'll do a Dennis Miller and apologize for being too obscure.

Wall-mart sells just about everything at lower prices than competitors. What are you supposed to do if you're on a budget? When shopping for a low end lawnmower, I could not find one cheaper anywhere. I mean, not even close! Is it a peice of crud? It's not too fancy, but it uses the same Briggs and Stratton motor that all the others use! What should I do? Pay another $30 just so I can say I didn't buy it at Wal-Mart? Let's face it. These guys have the market cornered on low end merchandise!

Of course they do. That's their schtick, and it works for them. I can't count the number of things I bought at Wal Mart. I've got a Wal Mart VCR that still works after several years. I don't know that anyone should feel insulted for buying the cheaper merchandise. Well . . . I will warn against the clothes, though, they all seem to fall apart or tear up pretty fast.
