Hello there all. Just planning to go back through the OC and wanted to double check something. Is this the one where there is a Holy Avenger somewhere in the game? I've never played with a paladin so if so, I may incorporate that plan into the build. Thanks a lot.

I'd like to point out that the holy avenger in SoU is so mighty a sword that you will not be high enough level to use it AT ALL in the SoU campaign. I know that there is a way to turn the level requirements off, but i dont remember how to do it.

Nothing much, in the hands of any but a Paladin. However, if a Pally has it, it is a +5 enhancement, attack/damage, and versus evil, it will dispel magic on hit.

I believe that officially, they count as having a +2 enhancement, and when wielded by a paladin, they have a +5 enhancement instead, give spell resistance equal to the paladin's level, deal +1d6 divine damage against evil, and cast a DC 14(?) Dispel Magic on any evil creature hit by it.

I think if you turn off 'enforce legal characters' that you will be able to use equipment that would otherwise be too high a level for your character.

No, but you can if you disable Item Level Restrictions.

ELC makes sure that your stats, hitpoints, feats, appearance and whatnot more add up. As of the latest patch, this is disabled for single-player games by default.

I think that ILR was disabled in Hordes, by default as well, but I can't remember, as I always disable it anyway.

Thanks for the correction. Thats what I get for reading this forum at work instead of at home where I can double check facts and details.
